Django Unchained First Pics: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz

April 26, 2012 By Mike B

Django Unchained has some new pictures that show Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz in character. This Quentin Tarantino joint is about how a slave-turned-bounty hunter, Django, goes off to rescue his wife from a dangerous Mississippi plantation owner. Foxx is Django, DiCaprio is the baddie Calvin Candie, and Waltz is Dr. King Schultz, the mentor.

First off, Foxx is making that atrocious green jacket look pretty badass. Waltz’s layered mess: not so much (and this is now officially a fashion blog). DiCaprio looks sinister, as he should, and I can’t wait to watch him as the villain. I also can’t wait to watch what he does with that hammer. I’m pretty sure he isn’t making a birdhouse.

Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained comes out on December 25, 2012.
