Paranormal Activity 4 On the Way

January 04, 2012 By Mike B

Paramount recently announced that Paranormal Activity 4 is indeed happening, and will be ready for the masses by Halloween weekend. Not too surprising, since these films make barrels of money, and they are honestly more fun to watch than the Saw films (that’s barely a compliment).

Paranormal Activity 3 set an opening weekend record for best October debut and best opening weekend for a horror film, making $54 million and earning #202.2 million worldwide. The first installment, directed by Oren Peli, was made for $15,000 and the beast made $194.4 million worldwide. So who’s directing the fourth installment? Who cares, the film’s going to make money even if Dennis Rodman was directing it, but he’s too busy coaching a topless all-women basketball team.

These films are so easy and cheap to make, that weird guy from American Beauty practically made one filming that bag “dancing” with the wind. Oh, no! it’s moving by way of some invisible demon! People will freak. $200 million right there.
