Shia LaBeouf Down for the Count

October 19, 2011 By Eric Peralta

Transformers star, Shia LaBeouf, was sighted numerous times during the filming of the upcoming thriller, “The Company You Keep”. While the actor has a history of partying with the locals on numerous occasions, it was only a matter of time before he became a regular appearance around the local bars and pubs. During one occasion, the star reportedly had one too many drinks during his visit at a local bar.

Outside the Cinema Public House, a popular bar around the Granville area, LaBeouf and a man who has yet to be identified, was videotaped during what seems to be an amateur street brawl. The video shows the star on the receiving end of a beat down by the pot bellied, shirtless man.

From what we can see from the video, the actor is seen being wrestled to the ground by a super drunk, super heavyweight. The man was able to get off a clean right hand to the actor’s dome before one of LaBeouf’s entourage, a man in crutches no less, comes to the actor’s aid. It is obvious LaBeouf wanted to get Even Stevens (pun intended) with his over-matched opponent, but was quickly restrained by another one of his posse. The video then shows him being counseled by his members of his group, advising him to lay low and to calm down. The disheveled actor tried to break free from his entourage, as he seemed to be embarrassed about what just happened, but was again subdued.

Not much else be could be said about the altercation, or as to the events leading up to the fight. It is certainly a point that this happened during the filming of a movie ironically titled, “The Company You Keep”, as the actor’s entourage seemed ill equipped and insufficient in the handling of the actor. The kind of company that would best suit his drinking tirade would probably be within the company of Optimus Prime.
