Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright Working on the World’s End

January 25, 2012 By Mike B

Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright and Nick Frost seem to be working on their third collaboration entitled the World’s End, according to Wright’s Twitter post. The trio have birthed two amazing comedies so far in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and they plan to complete their “Cornetto trilogy” with this next genre homage.

“Hard at Work” is what Wright posted along with the picture above indicating that they have started writing the script to the World’s End (no, not  At World’s End, like the shoddy Pirates movie). Nick Frost and Simon Pegg did star together in Paul, which they wrote together, but it was more of an American type of comedy and Edgar Wright wasn’t involved.

There are no hints to the plot, as of yet, besides the title, but it could be an alien-invasion type of film. No one knows for sure, perhaps not even Wright and Pegg. They could’ve just written a title on that sheet of paper without having any idea for the plot at all! Based on past experiences, whatever they decide to write will probably off the chain.
