The Expendables 3 Already Being Discussed

August 15, 2012 By Mike B

The Expendables 3 is already being talked about, as the wide release of The Expendables 2 is only a few days away. The Expendables was a good time, as we got to see many of the old action legends deliver one-liners and ass-kickings altogether on the big screen.

The Expendables 2 looks like an even better time, and even more of a guilty pleasure, as split-kicks Van Damme and Chuck Norris Internet Sensation are thrown into the mix…but, how many films like these can they make? I mean, sooner or later Sylvester Stallone will need to be subtitled or one of them might kick the bucket.

“We’ve approached Clint Eastwood to be one of the guys. We’ve got a character in mind for him. We’re talking to Harrison Ford. Wesley Snipes when he comes back from prison… [W]e’ve got Nicolas Cage to play [one of the characters]…And we’re going to bring Mickey Rourke back, if he won’t be too crazy. I like Mickey. And of course, all the existing stars”- Total Film Interview with Avi Lerner (Producer)

That’s right, Hollywood is already planning on asking the likes of Clint Eastwood, who is at the ripe old age of 82, Harrison Ford (70), Wesley Snipes (still in prison), and Nicolas Cage (he’s an “action star”?) to come on board to close out the potential trilogy. They will all likely do it if asked, especially Nicolas Cage because that guy has never read a script he didn’t like.
