Warm Bodies: Romantic Zombie Film

January 14, 2012 By Mike B

Usually, zombie flicks are pretty awesome, and any news about zombie films is good news, but take a look at the picture above. It definitely doesn’t look like a gory, bullet-filled, action-packed zombie flick; it looks more like what Twilight did to vampires, except it’s been done to zombies (what will Hollywood Twilight next!?)

The film is called Warm Zombies, which is a romantic zombie film based on Isaac Marion’s book, and it looks like it needs more shotgun shells. Okay, so it is a new take on the zombie film genre, but do we really need a romantic zombie movie? I think we’ll do fine without it.

Nicholas Hoult, of X-Men: First Class, Teresa Palmer, Rob Corddry, Dave Franco and John Malkovich will be starring in this flick, and it’s directed by Jonathan Levine, who also directed 50/50. Despite the decent cast and fantastic director, the pictures released by Warner Bros. and the synopsis do not leave me in eager anticipation.

Zombies having romantic relationships? I’ll stick with Walking Dead to get my zombie fix.

Synopsis:

“After a zombie becomes involved with the girlfriend of one of his victims, their romance sets in motion a sequence of events that might transform the entire lifeless world.”
