H&M to Sell Lisbeth Salander Clothing

Lisabeth Salander

Lisbeth Salander, the resilient, violent, broken genius that isolates herself from the world, is a tremendous character from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Well, guess what? Now you can dress like her!

The popular, affordable clothing store, H&M, is collaborating with Trish Summerville, the costume designer for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, to create a clothing line based on Lisbeth from the upcoming David Fincher film.

There will be 30 pieces that will debut in Paris on November 28, which will then spread to 180 selected H&M stores starting on December 14, a convenient 11 days before the Fincher film opens.

They don't quite hold a candle to Rooney Mara or Noomi Rapace

I suppose since H&M is a Swedish company, it makes some sense that they are creating a clothing line based on Lisbeth Salander’s character. I’m not sure how popular this clothing line will be, but it is an interesting way to market the “feel-bad movie of Christmas.” Lisbeth Salander is somewhat of a heroine for women that have read Stieg Larsson’s best-selling books and have watched the original trilogy.

I feel like one could probably head over to Hot-Topic and do a little Lisbeth Salander shopping there already. At least for Halloween, ladies can go to H&M for their “official” Lisbeth Salander gear.

This could work for other films as well. Clothing inspired by Paranormal Activity 3 (or something like that).
