Michael J. Fox Re-enacts Back to the Future Scene

November 14, 2011 By Mike B

Over the weekend, Michael J. Fox got in his time machine and re-enacted his iconic scene from Back to the Future, where Marty McFly plays Johnny B. Goode  and steals Rock n’ Roll from African Americans, at a Parkinson’s Disease Charity event.

The 50 year old Fox busted out pretty much the same guitar, a fire red Gibson ES-345 with retrofitted Bigsby vibrato, to play the Chuck Berry classic. The event, interestingly named A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s, was held at Waldorf-Astoria in New York.

Incidentally, the event just so happened to be on the 56th Anniversary of the “Enchanment Under the Sea Dance” (you’re welcome BTTF geeks). Others in attendance were Ricky Gervais, Rachel Ray, Julianna Marguiles, and more.

Unfortunately, the only footage of the performance so far isn’t so great. A bit shaky (sorry).
