Steven Spielberg’s much anticipated Lincoln, starring Daniel Day Lewis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, has a teaser trailer up! Yes, teaser trailers are annoying because they’re pretty much trailers for the trailer, but I’d be lying if I told you this one didn’t get me excited.
The trailer pretty much shows us Abraham Lincoln’s back, and some war footage. It also has a voice-over from someone that doesn’t sound anything like Daniel Day Lewis, but it could be him for all I know. The teaser does it’s job very well. After the actual trailer premieres on September 13, 7pm edt/ 4pm pdt, there will be a live hangout with Steven Spielberg and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I assume Daniel Day Lewis couldn’t do it because he’s in the process of convincing himself he’s Daniel Day Lewis again.
Anyways, here’s the 44 second teaser trailer in all of it’s glory. If you look close enough, you’ll see that Daniel Day Lewis is already carrying his Academy Awards for Best Actor.
