The Dark Knight Rises New Footage During MTV Movie Awards

June 04, 2012 By Mike B

New footage of the Dark Knight Rises was presented to the public by Gary Oldman, Christian Bale, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt at the MTV Movie Awards. Yes, the MTV Movie Awards are pretty much a joke that caters to teens (I’m pretty sure Twilight won for best movie without even looking it up), but there was some good in it.

Anyways, the new footage of the Dark Knight Rises shows more of Anne Hatheway as Catwoman, and what looks like Batman and Catwoman teaming up to beat up on some bad guys. Again, it shows a little more of Bane and Batman going at it, where Batman looks exhausted. I know a lot of people are still complaining about Bane’s voice, but I still think he looks pretty menacing. I mean, Mike Tyson had the voice of a 12 year old boy when he was a pro boxer, but he still managed to be menacing.

One other important fact was revealed: the runtime for the film will be a whopping 2 hours and 45 minutes.  The Dark Knight Rises will open in theaters on July 20, 2012.
