Iron Man 3 Patriot Armor Pictures

May 31, 2012 By Mike B

There are a couple things that have been confirmed for Iron Man 3. Shane Black, the underrated director of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, will be taking the director’s chair for Iron Man 3 and the blue Iron Man Patriot armor will be in full effect. Go ahead comic-book geeks, drink it up.

This particular armor was introduced in 2009’s “Dark Avengers” #1.  It was made by Norman Osborn, who took the tech from Stark Industries, and made it in the style of Captain America. This film will probably depict another character donning the suit in the Iron Man sequel, as Osborn is a Spider-Man villain.

The players for Iron Man 3 (so far): Robert Downey Jr. (duh), Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale, Ashley Hamilton and Jon Favreau.

The suit is being worn by James Badge Dale, playing Eric Savin in the film. Savin, in the comic-book world, eventually becomes a villain named Coldblood.

The picture pretty much looks like it sounds, but for some reason the comic-book version looks a little more interesting than what was made for the film. To non-comic book readers, it looks like a knockoff Iron Man suit you might find at swap meet.
