The Dark Knight Rises Troll Review Gets Critic Banned

July 18, 2012 By Mike B

I love Christopher Nolan’s Batman films as much as all the crazed fans out there, but I’m all for a well-executed joke.

A film reviewer named Eric Snider (from Film.com) thought it would be funny to post a fake film review snippet putting down The Dark Knight Rises by saying it was worse than Batman and Robin and those nipple suits.

Here’s that snippet:

The Dark Knight Rises is easily the most disappointing Batman film so far – and I’m including Schumacher’s Batman & Robin in that statement.

Pretty good joke right? Picture all the film geeks with a broken sense of humor raging over that snippet. Well, it probably gave Snider waves of traffic on his website, but it did get him banned from Rotten Tomatoes. Usually diehard fans of a popular film trilogy/series such as these Batman films will attack negative reviews like it was a critical sin. C’mon now, why so serious?

Constructive debates are welcome, but personal attacks are not. If you feel a comment is offensive or considered spam, please feel free to flag it.
